Star Schema
It is simplest schema in data warehouse
It will have centralized one or more face table surrounded by its dimensionals table
In Star Schema tables will be arranged in such a manner, so that we can retrive data easily from the data warehouse.
Why it name as star schema - The schema will resemble like star
In Star schema fact table will be in center and it will link with many of its dimensional tables.
The center of the star schema are one or many fact tables and the points of star is towards its dimensional table, see below example for your better understanding.
