WHAT IS OBIEE ?

Define OBIEE (ORACLE BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ENTERPRICE EDITION)

OBIEE Stands for Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition.
Business intelligence (BI) is an application for gathering, storing, analyzing, and providing access to data to help enterprise users make better business decisions.

It includes the decision support systems, activities of OLAP (Online Analytical Processing), analytics, data mining, data warehouse, reporting.

Business Intelligence is a tool used for querying the analysis, reporting using the data, developing reports and dashboards for decision support system.


OBIEE versions 10g and 11g.It includes KPI, Alerts/ Agents for automated scheduling, dashboards, reports, analysis, scorecards.

    In general how can we define obiee?? Analyzing or for comparison? We can do the same thing in many ways...but why should we choose obiee??

      OBIEE is standard decision support system; Think about big CEO who runs company like apple samsung etc. There operations are running in overall globe and there operations systems will be obsessively heterogeneous.

      To pull data from all heterogeneous system and centralizing those data and showing reports in BI, So that they could take decision on their business.
