FOLLOWING REASONS AND STEPS.
Login Failed Due to Invalid User Name and Password.
Reasons:
1. This is because of wrong username and password.
2. Sometimes Authentication not properly updated in GUID.
3. Not able to create system user connection while Oracle Bi server startup.
4. Due to lock of user in the database.
Error Details:
Logon failed due to: [nQSError: 43113] Message returned from OBIS.
[nQSError: 43126] Authentication failed: invalid user/password.
[nQSError: 37001] Could not connect to Oracle BI Server instance.
Check the password which you are giving is correct or not.
Check the username too, sometimes the username will take or assign as coreapplication change this to weblogic.
You will get login to the RPD in online mode.
Changing username: Coreapplication to weblogic.
Then Login or open the RPD. Successfully you will get login.
If Not opened, try to go in another way.
Because of Authentication failure the RPD will not open also.
Error:
"Unable to Sign in An error occurred during Authentication" Error When A User Logs In OBIEE
Solution:
Open the RPD in offline mode,
Go to Manage (tab)Γ Identity in the users list check the user name weblogic is found or not.
If yes delete the user and save the RPD.
Use the saved RPD in EM Γ CoreapplicationΓ RPD.
Restart all the services. Then try to login in RPD .you will get successfully login.
Regenerating GUID (Refreshing the users)
Go to the location “\11G\instances\instance1\diagnostics\logs\Presentation, server components folders”.
Check the Logs. If any logs produce with an error you have to regenerate the GUID.
How to regenerate GUID. According to oracle documents. Change in the NQS Config file.
Take a backup of the files which you are going to edit.
Update the FMW_UPDATE_ROLE_AND_USER_REF_GUIDS parameter in NQSConfig.INI:
Open NQSConfig.INI for editing at:
ORACLE_INSTANCE/config/OracleBIServerComponent/coreapplication_obisn
Locate the FMW_UPDATE_ROLE_AND_USER_REF_GUIDS parameter and set it to YES, as follows:
FMW_UPDATE_ROLE_AND_USER_REF_GUIDS = YES;
Save and close the file.
Update the Catalog element in instanceconfig.xml:
Open instanceconfig.xml for editing at:
ORACLE_INSTANCE/config/OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent/ coreapplication_obipsn
Locate the Catalog element and update it as follows:
<Catalog>
<UpgradeAndExit>false</UpgradeAndExit>
<UpdateAccountGUIDs>UpdateAndExit</UpdateAccountGUIDs>
</Catalog>
Save and close the file.
Restart the Oracle Business Intelligence system components
Set the FMW_UPDATE_ROLE_AND_USER_REF_GUIDS parameter in NQSConfig.INI back to NO.
Important: You must perform this step to ensure that your system is secure.
Update the Catalog element in instanceconfig.xml to remove the UpdateAccount GUIDs entry.
Restart the Oracle Business Intelligence system components
Check the User Cache:
Go to the location,
D:\11G\instances\instance1\bifoundation\OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent\coreapplication_obips1\catalog\SampleAppLite\root\users\weblogic\_prefs
Delete the file cacheduserinfo and cacheduserinfo.atr files.
Then restart the services.
If the Errors shows like this,
Odbc driver returned an error (SQLDriverConnectW).
[nQSError: 10018] Access for the requested connection is refused.
[nQSError: 43113] Message returned from OBIS.
[nQSError: 43126] Authentication failed: invalid user/password.
Then there will be the account of the user in the database will be locked.
To unlock the Account, use the following query.
1. Select username, account_status from dba_users;
2. If the status is shows locked, please unlock the accounts.
3. Alter user Dev_MDS account unlock;
4. Alter user Dev_BIPLATFORM account unlock;
5. Then the reset the password for the user accounts.
6. Alter user Dev_MDS identified by Admin123;
7. Alter user Dev_BIPLATFORM identified by Admin123;
Then the restart the BI Services and database services also.
