Creating a Briefing Book

Next, we will create a new briefing book in order to test the newly installed Reader.

1) Logged in as Administrator, go to the default dashboard and click the Add to Briefing Book link below the Region Summary request.

2) When the Save Briefing Book Content window opens, click the New Briefing Book… button next to the drop down list.

3) Name the new briefing book Region Summary Briefing Book and click the Save Briefing Book button in the upper right corner of the window.

4) After being returned to the Save Briefing Book Content section, confirm that the Briefing Book you just created is selected from the dropdown list and click the Add button in the upper right corner of the window.

Now that we‟ve created a briefing book and added a request, all we have left to do is take a look to make sure the Reader was installed properly and is functioning.

Briefing Book files are saved with a file extension of .sbb. Although users are  allowed to create and download Briefing Books without the Briefing Book Reader, files of this type can only be viewed once the Reader has been successfully  installed on the client machine.

Viewing a Briefing Book

5)Navigate to Answers and open the My Briefing Books folder by clicking on the folder in the selection pane on the left.
