How to do AnalyticsWeb: DSN Configuration in OBIEE

AnalyticsWeb: DSN Configuration


If you decide (at a future date) to separate the Oracle BI Server and Oracle BI Presentation Server services onto separate servers to increase performance. you'll need to modify the DSN









1. Edit the AnalyticsWeb DSN on the Oracle BI Presentation server and enter the server that is running the Oracle BI Server service. You may need to type in the appropriate value.


2. Edit the InstanceConfig.xml file on the OBIEE Analytics Web server only if the name of the DSN has changed







Rename the AnalyticsWeb DSN to OBIEEWeb and modify the InstanceConfig.xml file accordingly. Finally, restart the Oracle BI Presentation Server service and login to the web front end to make sure your change worked.
