OBIEE 12C Client Installation and Configuration

We will not have Administrator tool installed by default in OBIEE 12c as it used to be in OBIEE 11g. Install the BI Administrator tool from Oracle.com download sections and below is the steps to be followed for installation and configuration of OBIEE 12c client installation.
















Hit on Next








Create one directory in your local machine and set it as installation location for OBIEE 12c client installation.






Click on install.






Hit Next








Click on Next






Click on Next






Click on Next







Good Job!! You have successfully installed OBIEE 12 client.






The next thing after installation is configuring the OBIEE client for that please go to ODBC data source Administrator






Go to system DSN and click on Oracle BI Server 12client driver






Give some name and configure your server IP Address here. Note: This will change as per your server. If you install in your local machine. Then just give localhost and give next






Give your WebLogic credentials 






Change the port to 9514 and give next






Check the default subject area and click on finish






Give Ok.








Go to start and click on administrator 






Provide your weblogic credentials 






Click on open








Cheers Mate.. You are connected to BI Administrator tool.
