Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) & Data Mart?

EDW consists of all the information associated with the entire Organization. 

For example, it will contain information about all the departments (Say Finance, Human Resource, Marketing, Sales etc).


Where as Data Mart ONLY contains the data that is specific to one department (Say only Finance).

    What is factless fact table?

      factless fact ia also a fact table,but is has'nt contain measure columns.
      mostly factless fact are used for count operations
