Creating a new Report with Parameter type-Date in BI Publisher

• Creating a new Parameter

Ø Click on Parameter and click ‘New’ to create a new parameter.




Ø Give the name for the parameter and select the data type as ‘Date’




Ø Edit the query to give the bind variable, i.e. the name of the parameter.



Ø Select the parameter type and give the Display Label.




Ø If you want give default ‘date’ then enter the date in Default value column.

Ø Give the format for date and also enter the starting and ending Date.



Ø Save the work done.

• Viewing the Output

Ø If a default date is given in default value column, then the date will appear in the prompt box.

Ø Click ‘View’ to see the output.



Ø If default date is not given then click ‘View’ and enter the date in the prompt box.



Ø Once the date is entered, click view to see the output.
