Check DAC connections working fine or not after reboot

Navigate to Start > All Programs > DataWarehouse Administration Console Oracle 10g – xxx. Click Start Server Start DAC Client., enter User name and Password 'Administrator/Administrator'. Click Login At first the connection icon is red, then it changes to orange, assuming you have configured correctly. Connect your machine to Oracle network. Test all the connections again. Email Recipients tab in DAC

In the Email Recipients tab, click New to create a new Enter the information, for example: Name: BI Administrator Email Address: kashif@7stl.com Notification Level: 10 Click Save Reboot the system.

Configure Physical Data Source tab

In the Physical Data Source tab, select DataWarehouse entry and update the property values; for example: Instance = orcl Table Owner = baw Table Owner Password = baw DB Host = emok-us (your machine name) Port = 1521 Click Test Connection. Click Yes Click OK to return to the previous screen. Click Save In the Physical Data Source tab, select ORA_R12 entry and update the property values; for example: Instance = R12PLY (Sandbox) Table Owner = apps Table Owner Password = apps DB Host = ebcdell216.us.oracle.com (Sandbox) Port = 10101 Keep other default values and settings intact. Click Test Connection. Click Yes Click OK to return to the previous screen. Click Save In the Physical Data Source tab, select ORA_11_5_10 entry and update the property values; for example: Instance = V11510 (Sandbox) Table Owner = apps Table Owner Password = apps DB Host = ebcdell215.us.oracle.com (Sandbox) Port = 10201 Keep other default values and settings intact. Click Test Connec...

Configure Informatica Servers tab

Click on the Informatica Servers tab and select INFORMATICA_DW_SERVER entry. Update the property values; for example: Service = Oracle_BI_DW_Base_Integration_Service Domain = Domain_emok-us Login = AdministratorA Password = Administrator Repository Name = Oracle_BI_DW_Base Keep all other default values intact. Click Test Connection. Click Save after the connection is established and tested. Click Yes Click OK Click Save Update the property value of the INFORMATICA_REP_SERVER; for example Hostname = emok-us (your machine name) Login = Administrator Password = Administrator Repository Name = Oracle_BI_DW_Base Keep all other default values intact. Click Test Connection. Click Save after the connection is established and tested. Click Yes Click OK after the connection to "INFORMATICA_REP_SERVER" successfully established. Click Save

Configure DAC System Properties tab

Click on the Setup menu. In the DAC System Properties tab, scroll down to locate the DAC Server Host property Change the DAC Server host property value to your machine name; for example, 'emok-us'. Click Save Locate the InformaticaParameterFileLocation property. Enter the value; for example, 'D:\oracle\DAC101341\bifoundation\dac\Informatica\parameters\input'. Click Save

DAC Server Setup

From the DAC menu bar, choose Tools > DAC Server Management > DAC Server Setup Click Yes In the Repository Connection Information tab, click Populate from preconfigured client connection box: Click OK Click Test Connection Click Close Click Save to exit

Creating OBAW from DAC

From the DAC menu bar, choose Tools > ETL Management > Configure Select Oracle as both the Target data warehouse database platform and Source transactional database platform. Click OK In the Configuration tab, check the 'Create Data Warehouse Table' box. Click Next In the Data Warehouse tab, enter the information; for example: Container = blank Table Owner = baw Password = baw ODBC Data Source = DataWarehouse Tablespace = blank Index Space = blank Is Unicode box checked Click Start Screen shows the status Once completed, it displays the 'All tasks successfully finished' message. Click Finish
